129 Years of the Brooklyn Bridge: Lessons in Bridge Building

On May 24, 1883 the Brooklyn Bridge opened, and today it still stands strong.

For your future bridge builders, here are a few great resources for teaching the science behind bridge building.

Spaghetti Bridge Challenge by David Kujawski:  Using uncooked spaghetti and Elmer’s glue, students will be able to build a bridge that spans 40 cm and can support the weight of (to be determined by teacher).
